Black oxidising
is a chemical treatment used for improving the surface appearance of iron components.
Oxidising
does not increase the thickness of the surface and is achieved by immersing the object in an alkaline solution at 140°.
Industrial black oxidising is mainly used in the car industry and for mechanical assembly equipment, notably the hydraulic sector (cylinders and various components). The metal components are treated in crates, frames or barrels depending on the shape and size of the item.
Decorative oxidising produces a shiny black surface to which a thin film of protective oil is applied, to guarantee maximum resistance to corrosion in enclosed environments with low levels of humidity
